Sampling the Sample: Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Lipstick Review

Got this sample a long time ago but I just got to try it recently hihi so anyway here it is…

I was at Sephora looking around when a lady suddenly handed me out a card so I checked on it and saw it was a redemption card for free Guerlain lippie sample.

Well, I pretended I wasn’t excited to redeem it so I walked slowly towards the Guerlain booth and feigned innocence on what it is hehe. The lady handed me this card with maybe .000001 gram of lippie sample in pink tie and red heels.

I wouldn’t be so sure of the exact texture of a full sized product since I am sampling the sample but as far as this sample is concerned this has a good texture – easy to apply using the thumb-sized applicator that came with it. It is easy to pickup and build on the lips, the colour isnt so loud and it is very moisturizing that the line on my lips became minimal and my lips looked plump after minutes of application. I also think it has tint-like qualities wherein even after the actual product has faded the “stain” or color of the lipstick stays on the lips. Awesome! This is very good especially when you are busy and have no time to retouch or if you are in an airconditioned room the whole day plus you also save a few bucks since you wouldn’t need to keep on reapplying it.

I saw the actual product at Sephora and the casing would look something like this:(photo credit from

Assuming I will have extra money this month, Imma get myself one of this.

the_pinkpotato gives this 4.5 hearts; saved 0.5 because uhm well I am still reserving my 5 stars for something that’ll blow my mind but overall the product is good and I must say highly recommended šŸ˜Š
