Last last week was a celebration of things artsy and not fartsy when Aesop and Singapore Writer’s Festival joined forces to promote SWF 2015
Aside from the promotion of SWF it was also the launch of Aesop Capitol Piazza branch which is my current favorite branch specifically because it was reminiscent of the antique house we used to go to when I was a child.
The night’s guest was Ms. Josephine China – winner of non fiction novel last 2014. She talked about how it was growing up ‘Peranakan’ style – the thing I remembered most was her story about her mother bearing 16 babies and losing half of it and 1 given for adoption. I cannot even imagine myself having five babies what more 16 *partly hysteric*
The festival takes place from October 30 to November 8 so for those who want to join in the fun please check http://www.clozette.co/article/page/the-singapore-writers-festival-and-aesop-1769/3
